NO TROLL: US ARMY OFFERS GTA VI LEAVE AS REENLISTMENT BAIT
Forget cash bonuses. We finally hit peak "Before GTA 6" with the US Army's latest recruitment tactic.
We keep saying it around here: the world is getting wilder the closer we get to the Grand Theft Auto VI release. We’ve seen historical events, tech breakthroughs, and absolute absurdity all categorized under the "before GTA 6" meme.
But this? This might be the final boss of that list. The US Army is officially using the biggest entertainment event in history as bait to get soldiers to sign away more years of their lives.
THE OFFER YOU CAN'T REFUSE? (OR CAN YOU?)
According to internal memos floating around, an Army battalion based out of Fort Stewart, Georgia, is trying a very "modern" approach to solving their retention issues.
They are offering a special four-day pass specifically timed for the launch of GTA VI.
THE CRUNCHY DETAILS
If this sounds like a joke, it isn't. Here is how the trade-off works for the soldiers:
- The Incentive: A guaranteed 4-day leave starting November 19, 2026 (which this memo heavily implies is the release date).
- The Catch: Soldiers must commit to two to six additional years of service.
- The Deadline: They have until November 14, 2026, to sign the reenlistment contract.
According to CBS News, 20 soldiers have already accepted the offer and signed up for years of additional duty just to guarantee they can binge-play the new Vice City map on day one.

We know the hype for the first female protagonist and the return to Vice City is insane we’ve waited over 10 years already. But signing up for potentially six more years in the military for four days off to play? That is a whole different level of commitment.
Would you trade years of your life to guaranteed launch-day access for GTA 6? Are these 20 soldiers legends or did they just fall for the ultimate corporate trap? Drop your thoughts below!
