ANONYMOUS MOCKS GTA VI LEAK "SUPERHEROES"
The massive hacker collective has entered the chat, and they are not impressed with the community's detective work.
The situation surrounding the GTA VI leaks has just taken another wild turn. We've been covering the federal hunt for Cyberleek and the Take-Two stock drop, but now a legendary entity has weighed in: Anonymous.
The international hacker collective has officially broken its silence, and they are not holding back their contempt for a certain segment of the gaming community.
"ZERO SHAME": THE ANONYMOUS STATEMENT
Via one of their prominent social media accounts (@YourAnonOne), Anonymous addressed the growing number of users who have been actively trying to track down and expose the Cyberleek group. They mocked these individuals as "superheroes" and accused them of doing "free detective work for a billion-dollar corporation that couldn't care less about its consumers."
For Anonymous, the fact that gamers are lining up to protect Rockstar and Take-Two companies known for their aggressive monetary practices is apparently more disgraceful than the leaks themselves. They are clearly positioning the leakers as anti-corporate activists, a narrative that Cyberleek itself tried to push (before the whole crypto-scam angle was revealed).
THE GIGANTIC MESS GROWS GIGANTICER
Let's put this into perspective. We are now witnessing a bizarre three-way conflict:
- The Hunters: A segment of the community trying to act as "free detective" superheroes to find the leakers.
- The Corporations: Take-Two and Rockstar, firing off federal subpoenas at Microsoft and Discord to preserve their $2 billion stock valuation and legal power.
- The Activists/Scammers: Cyberleek, who claim a noble cause but also want your crypto.
- And now, The Watchers: Anonymous, mocking the hunters and implicitly justifying the leaks as a form of anti-corporate protest.
JOIN THE DISCUSSION
Anonymous has a point about free detective work for massive corporations, but does that justify the destructive nature of these leaks? And can we even take Anonymous seriously when we know Cyberleek is actively running a crypto scam?
Are you one of the "superheroes" trying to help Rockstar, or are you sitting back and enjoying the corporate chaos Anonymous is talking about? Drop your thoughts below!
The moral landscape is a mess.
