ROCKSTAR JUST DROPPED A SECRET 14GB UNCOMPRESSED VERSION OF THE EXTENDED LOOK
Forget the blurry YouTube stream. The true 70Mbps bitrate version is officially out and it completely changes how the game looks!
If you thought the Netflix drop of the Extended Look was visually stunning, you have not seen the real thing yet. According to new reports, Rockstar Games quietly released a massive 14 gigabyte, 70 megabits per second uncompressed version of the gameplay video, and the visual difference is absolutely mind blowing.
YouTube compression notoriously ruins high action gameplay and dense foliage by making things look pixelated. However, this direct download file showcases the true next generation graphical power of Grand Theft Auto VI exactly as the developers intended.
Here is why this massive file is making waves across the community.
THE TRUE NEXT GENERATION VISUALS
- No More YouTube Artifacts: YouTube caps bitrates heavily, which makes fast driving and dense environments look blurry. The 70Mbps version completely eliminates this issue, offering a crystal clear view of the Leonida state.
- Incredible Texture Detail: In the 14GB file, you can clearly read the small text on street signs, see the individual pores and sweat on Lucia and Jason, and appreciate the insane texture work on the vehicle interiors.
- Flawless Lighting and Shadows: The global illumination and ray traced reflections in Vice City pop out incredibly well without the heavy video compression holding them back. The neon lights bleeding onto wet pavement look photorealistic.
A SILENT DROP FOR THE HARDCORE FANS
Rockstar did not announce this file on their main social media feeds. They quietly hosted it for press outlets and hardcore community members who wanted to see the game in true 4K quality. The massive jump from standard streaming quality to a 70Mbps bitrate proves that any slight visual complaints some fans had were purely due to bad video compression on the internet.
WHAT DO YOU THINK?
Have you tracked down the massive 14GB file yet to see the visual difference for yourself? Do you think it is fair for people to judge the graphics of a game based on a heavily compressed YouTube video?
