REPORT: GTA VI MEDIA PREVIEW WAS HANDS-OFF
Embargo lifts alongside the Netflix premiere, but don't expect any GTA Online news just yet.
With all the recent chaos and speculation surrounding the latest leaks, many in the community started wondering if the info originated from a media member or content creator breaking NDA after a private event.
While the exact source of those leaks remains unconfirmed, fresh reports reveal that a private GTA VI preview event did indeed take place recently and we now have the first details on how Rockstar handled it!
Note: As always, ViceHarbor brings you the breakdown of official media reports and verified industry sources to keep you informed ahead of the big reveal.
THE PREVIEW DETAILS: HANDS-OFF & STRICT EMBARGO
According to industry reports (via MP1st), the private preview event was hosted back in July. Here is what we know about how it went down:
- Strictly Hands-Off: Press and creators were NOT given hands-on control to freely explore the open world. It was a purely visual presentation shown by Rockstar.
- Embargo Date: Official press impressions and detailed previews are set to go live on August 27, perfectly aligned with the Netflix special premiere.
- Focus on Polish: The footage shown to media is expected to showcase fully polished gameplay, putting to rest any concerns raised by early development leak clips.
NO GTA ONLINE YET & ADVANCED AI TECH
For those hoping for a glimpse at the next generation of Multiplayer, you will have to wait a bit longer. Sources indicate that Rockstar is keeping the spotlight 100% focused on the Single-Player story mode for now, leaving GTA Online details for a later date.
Additionally, reports highlight that Rockstar is leveraging advanced AI systems behind the scenes to generate far more organic, unpredictable random events throughout Leonida.
LOOKING AHEAD: THE WAIT IS ALMOST OVER
Between the upcoming press impressions and the official Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look on Netflix, next week is going to be massive for the entire community!
